Alan Shean (American, 1930 - 2002) was born in NYC but spent his adult creative career in Los Angeles where he was a prolific painter while at the same time sustaining a long career in television and film production. In this painting his bold use of color and the steadiness of his line attest to his skills as a storyboard artist for such animation classics and The Rocky and Bullwinkle Show and A Boy Named Charlie Brown.
